PROGRAMS & SERVICES

We are continuously working toward building a wider range of programs and services to meet the needs of those affected by our cause.

We help them and their families by providing programs, information and resources to assist in their journey.

GRIEF GROUPS– These groups are offered once a month at Waters Edge Counseling. If you would like to join us, the address is 204 S. 24th Street, Rogers, AR 72756 and you can use our contact us page to register. These classes are free, but you are welcomed to make a small donation to the organization if you wish.

INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY THERAPY– Referral to Individual Counselors who specialize in Traumatic Grief will be available.

CRISIS RESPONSE– Our crisis response team will meet with families after a hit-and-run incident and offer support in the way of canvasing the area with fliers for information, assistance in speaking with media or law enforcement officials, raising money for rewards for information, as well as, keeping media focus on your loved one until an offender is apprehended.

MEDICAL/FUNERAL ASSISTANCE– Assistance based on met criteria. Funds may be used for assisting families with funeral costs or cost of headstone/urn (up to $500), or medical supplies for survivors such as crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, prescription/co-pay assistance for medications related to hit and run incident.

ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT– Family Advocate support for those involved in court hearings and the legal system. We DO NOT give legal advise, but offer someone to go with you to assist you in talking with attorney’s, prosecutors, and/or law enforcement officials. Additionally, we educate legislators about the laws surrounding Hit and Run incidents and advocate for the rights of the victim and their families. It is our hope that, through education, each state law will be strengthened and that the injustice gap will be lessened.

We also help by raising awareness through public outreach and media…..

Educational Awareness- Our Executive Director or Ambassador are available by appointment to come speak at your school, meeting, conference or other event to bring awareness of hit-and-run incidents and state laws for Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Other related topics of discussion can include traumatic grief, distracted driving (for teens), and pedestrian awareness.

We are willing to collaborate with other organizations to bring awareness to this social justice issue.
